![]() ![]() Haptic feedback and the new rumble that is programmed into the controller is really cool. The ps5 is a good console but wait Until it’s easier to get one or until they release a firmware update for the system. It’s like a new car, it’s nice when you get it but you quickly get used to it and it no longer wows you. That’s not to say you shouldn’t get the ps5 if you want but don’t believe all the hype as it will definitely die down. The ps5 also doesn’t have backwards compatability with ps1,ps2 and ps3 games unlike the new Xbox which is a bummer so you are stuck with streaming the list of ones on ps now still. I could go on and on but you get the point. You can’t make list to seperate friends into categories no more, you can’t access communities, you can’t edit your tool bar, You can’t play sound out of your tv and headset at the same time anymore (unless you purchase an optical out cable separately), It’s difficult to navigate the playstation store and it looks ugly, it’s difficult to navigate ps now and it looks ugly, you can’t buy avatars anymore, you can’t have themes anymore, shortcuts when navigating the menu are nonexistent, you can’t check update history of games, you can now only download 1 game/application at a time (although copying a game is faster). Many features of the ps4 are not included with the ps5. ![]() The UI for the ps5 is horrible compared to the ps4 and it’s a step backwards. The Ps5 also has on major downfall and it the UI. If you have a tv that doesn’t support 4K at the minimum then there’s really no point in getting one. Also if your tv doesn’t support 60 or 120 frames per second then you have to upgrade your tv in order to take advantage of the ps5 because there will be no point in playing with a ps5 (except for the fact of getting new games) if your essentially capping its potential to be like a ps4. The better option is performance mode which allows most games that enable it to run at 60 fps (steady 60 frames with 4K resolution) and some even at 120 fps (with fairly constant drops in frame rate when using 120 and only at 1080p to 1440p resolution) which allows for smoother gameplay. The games literally look the same and the ray tracing if you choose resolution mode doesn’t add much as PC ray tracing and visuals are still much more superior. However the graphics in my opinion aren’t that much different from ps4. The PS5 does have faster load times and it’s instant in some cases which is great. Only reason why I have one is because I won one through a raffle. It’s also not worth the trouble of getting one. Don’t get me wrong the ps5 is pretty nice overall but it’s definitely overhyped. ![]() Now in terms of the PS5, I day hold off on getting one. If they do I suspect they will improve the frame rate and maybe even the visual fidelity but the game will most likely still have loading issues.Ībout ps5: only read if you want a stranger from the internets thoughts on the console So some of this may change if they decide to do so. Keep in mind that they haven’t upgraded Or released an updated version of Darksiders 3 for next gen consoles. The load times seem to be slightly faster and more bearable thanks to the SSD but the game is poorly optimized so you will still get those moments when the game stutters, freezes and stops to load for a considerable amount of time when moving from area to area. The game is also capped at 30 fps so it doesn’t take advantage of the ps5 being able to output 60 to 120 frames per second along with a compatible 60 to 120 hertz tv. About Darksiders: It just looks slightly better, but not really a noticeable difference in the visual department. ![]()
